Who we are

Plan B Expat is a residency and relocation consultancy operated by Recently Released Initiatives LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Mexico, United States. This policy covers www.planbexpat.com and the services we provide through it.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at privacy@planbexpat.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you complete our pre-qualification assessment, request a consultation, subscribe to our newsletter, or download a guide, you may provide your name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, country of residence, nationality and any additional citizenships, household composition, employment status, pension and income situation, available funds and investment capacity, your goals and timeline, whether you have a criminal record and any details you choose to add, and any notes you write for us.

Information about your visit. Pages you view, links you click, how far you scroll, how long you stay, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type.

Information from our services. If you become a client, the documents and details required to progress your application.

Sensitive information

Our assessment asks whether you have a criminal record, and about your financial position. We ask because immigration authorities in Panama and Paraguay require both, and answering honestly is what lets us tell you which pathways you actually qualify for.

You choose to provide this when you complete the assessment. We use it only to assess eligibility and advise you. You are not required to give details beyond a yes or no, and you can contact us instead of using the form if you would rather discuss your situation directly.

How we use your information

To assess which residency pathways you may qualify for; to prepare and send you a quote; to arrange and hold your consultation; to deliver the services you engage us for; to answer your questions; to send you material you asked for, such as our newsletter or guides; and to understand how our site is used so we can improve it.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

Legal and professional partners. Delivering a residency application means working with licensed attorneys, accountants, and other professionals in Panama, Paraguay, and the United States. Where your case requires it, we share the information necessary for them to act on your behalf. We share only what a particular engagement needs, and we tell you who is handling your case.

Service providers. We use third parties to run the business, including hosting, email delivery, scheduling, spreadsheet and document storage, and website analytics. They process information on our instructions.

When the law requires it. If we are legally obliged to disclose information, we will.

International transfers

We operate across borders, which is the nature of what we do. Your information may be stored or processed in the United States, Panama, Paraguay, and other countries where our partners and providers operate. Data protection law in those countries may differ from the law where you live.

Analytics and session recording

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site. Clarity records general interaction data such as pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth, and how long a page stays open, and presents it to us as heatmaps and anonymised session replays. We use this to find pages that are confusing or broken.

Text you type into forms is masked in your browser before it is sent, so Clarity does not capture your name, email address, phone number, or anything else you enter. We do not use Clarity to identify individual visitors.

Clarity is provided by Microsoft, which processes this data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Clarity sets cookies to recognise a returning session. You can block or delete these through your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as it is useful to help you, and client records for as long as our professional and legal obligations require. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Email privacy@planbexpat.com and we will respond.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and we limit access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 other than the details a parent provides about dependants included in a family application.
